Wall-E is an animated movie by Disney Pixar from 2008. In this movie a single robot is left standing on Earth cleaning up a planet filled with garbage and waste. While all the humans are light years away in a spaceship heavily obese and lazy. This is a cause of over reliance on technology - humans have already begun the process to an unhealthy living style by sitting on their chairs all day and having technology to do all the work. This movie is related to the story because the Hadley children were also over reliant on their nursery.
If humans were to be stripped away from technology the world will fall into utter chaos – we would not be able to access water or heat, no way of transportation and communications would be gone. This is what happened in the story, the Hadley children reacted lunatic when their privilege to the nursery was taken away. This is due to the fact that their only source of entertainment and pretty much everything else was this piece of technology which happens to be a nursery, but they reacted this way for another reason and that is because the children were very spoiled. They’re entire life they got what ever they liked as George Hadley says in the story, “But nothing’s too good for our children.” If the Hadley children did not rely on technology so much, they would not have reacted the way they did and demoralizing themselves. Also the obesity percent in USA is 31 % or 59 million people. http://annecollins.com/weight_health/obesity-rate.htm. This is something people could easily avoid, with exercise or by even just moving around, but technology has prevented that, therefore technology has already begun its process of harming humans and their morality.
